Hey, guys!
You know, my mom had a difficult surgeon made last month so when I was visiting her at the hospital I tasted maize meal porridge which was given to all the patients there. I really liked it and then decided to try to cook it at home for it's healthy, rich with vitamins and low with calories).
So that's what i got!)
It tastes a bit like semolina (which I LOVE), so i'm glad that this porridge will be in my ration now).
RECIPE (maybe you'll cook it too?)):
Yield: 1 portion
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of maize meal
1/2 cup of cold water
1/2 cup of milk
salt
Directions:
Make the water boil, add salt.
Add maize meal and simmer (constantly mixing) till water is almost completely steamed out.
Add milk and simmer a little bit more.
Done!)
I dressed my porridge with nuts only. But you can add sugar or butter to make it more sweet..
I had a piece of salted fish with mine one so - no sugar!))
